Just curious to know what people are doing with their wood. Wait, that didn't sound right.
OK, just look over the poll question.

Like for smoking, or ground cover?

For smoking I do a combination of making my own and purchasing from the store.

For ground cover I pay my gardeners to do it.

Well, seeing how I posted this in WaGrubs one could assume it might have something to do with smoking. :gibbs:

Well if you have recently grown a beard, then chances are good that you have also spent over $100 on an axe too and probably have no wood stove.

Perfect use for that axe that your wife rolled here eyes at.

Use real wood, if you happen to have chips from splitting said wood, throw them in as well. Simple.

Yeah, but you can't throw split wood in an E-Z Bake Oven.

I'm confused, you just want to know 'how' people acquire wood chips, but not necessarily where?

Are you looking for a source, or just pontificating over whiskey?

If you're looking for a source, here's one local, and one by mail:

OK, I will clarify a little.
L_O_G gave me some apple tree limbs he had cut up. So I was wondering what the best/easiest way there would be to make chips from them.

edit: excellent websites!

Missed this response....

Thanks for the clarification....I wasn't trying to give you grief, just trying to understand.

We've had some folks ask questions recently where people took time to research links, answer, etc., only to find out that wasn't what they were after.

Glad you liked the links... :thumbsup2:
