I got given a copy of this for Christmas, but didn't end up getting it until mid-February. HOLY GREAT GADZOOKS!!

You may have heard of Raichlen's "Barbecue Bible", this is a counterpart, filled and dedicated to smoking everything under the sun. From prime rib and brisket to chicken and turkey, from hardboiled eggs and baked potatoes to Chocolate Bread Pudding and cheesecake!

Seriously, if you like smoking food, check out this book. I'm drooling every time I look at it.

I can predict with 100% confidence that owning this book will help me convince the wife to let me invest in a good quality smoker, better than the little smoke box I have for the gas grill  :thumbsup2:

You can get a side box smoker from walmart for around 150 bucks, I would have it covered by a roof or over hang though.

His shows are on PBS. I've enjoyed watched them for years and learned quite a few things.

That's just a drop in the bucket compared to how much you're gonna spend on a new smoker and hundreds of pounds of prime beef, pork and chicken! :ROFLMAO:

For me the real appeal is in the non-meat chapters of the book. Sure, there's TONS of information about smoking meat, but I'll be honest, the idea of smoking a hardboiled egg has never entered my brain until I saw it in this book. Cheesecake!? BREAD PUDDING!? In a smoker!?

There's a recipe in this book for smoked fucking BREAD!

My fiance got me this book for my birthday. So many great recipes in there. Smoked deviled eggs caught my eye, probably one of the first thing I'll do. Second....CHEESECAKE
