Can you describe the flavors? I typically like single malts.

I do NOT like overly peaty smoked whisky. It tastes like cigarette butts and window cleaner diluted back with methanol and gasoline.

It was slightly vegetal on the palate. Also a bit mineraly, like a multi-vitamin. Also had lots of notes of caramel, dried fruits and spices. Very lightly peated, if at all.

This is one of only 36 bottles in the US.

I can see why they only made 36 bottles.

Just got home from hours at the outlet mall in auburn with my wife. Nothing of interest there for me. I needed a drink after that so stopped at total wine. I've never had the anjeo so I figure I would give it a try. It's damn smooth!

I like to infuse tequila with hot peppers. Normally I'm pretty decent at it, but this week I fucked up. Totally forgot to pull the habaneros out after a couple days. Habanero fuckfest tequila is a bit over the top, and my morning constitutional is going to be a literal pain in the ass.

Habaneros and tequila? Tell me more.

Soaking some meat in that sauce is as far as I would take it. A pork roast or something marinated 48+ hours......yeah baby.

Aberlour 12. Finished in sherry casks and has a strong christmas cake/dried fruit and vanilla finish. This stuff is good and $46 OTD at Costco.

That one's a winner. One of the best whiskies for the price, for sure.

I feel like I keep getting lucky with the whiskies I pick. Except for the bottle of Slow & Low rye whiskey that I bought a month or so back. So sweet I puked. Seriously. Instant gut rot. Please do not ever subject yourself to that.

Cracked open a bottle of Green Label.

Probably my 3rd favorite Johnnie Walker.

I'm sipping some Jose Cuervo out of a whisky glass . . . let me 'splain.

I grabbed a whisky glass and went over to the liquor area, intending to pour some Evan Williams bourbon. I poured, went back to the couch, sat down and sipped. "WTF is this???" Yep, I guess my mind was on other things when I was doing the pouring.

But I tell ya . . . this stuff tastes pretty good.
