I think we need to organize a group trip to Kentucky and go down the bourbon trail.
My mom's in Lexington and has three guest rooms.

Scored today. Made an unexpected find while picking up some fish for dinner tomorrow. Picked up a couple bottles: - Dead Guy Ale (hard to find in Tejas) - Duchesse de Bourgogne - Saison Du'Pont Drinking the bottle of Duchesse right now as my first time trying that beer. Didn't realize it's a sour lol. Very good flavor but sours are not my thing. Looking forward to the Saison which is one of my all time favorites, really just an outstanding farmhouse ale like the Tank 7 or Saison from Boulevard Brewing but much better. Someone on this thread introduced me to Dead Guy Ale (thank you) and it has become one of my other all-time favorites.

A large Costco gift card is to blame --- that is by far the best beer the one in Spokane carries. Even with that faint praise, it's good beer. Also got a bottle of their house brand bourbon (Kirkland) so have to give that a try here soon.

A bit hard to find in Texas but not unheard of. Haven't even bought a bottle of Whiskey or Scotch since started paying alimony. On a beer budget for now though today I stretched even that quite a bit with the imports.

Duchesse is a flanders red style, so yeah sour. Know thy beer styles so you won't be surprised in the future. As far s Sasions go, Dupont is somewhat the 'standard' in a beer style that ranges greatly. Usually open fermented and not temp. controlled during fermentation. Sasions are great summer beers.

San Matias Legado Reposado Tequila, employee at the store recommended it. Great price for what it is. $22 OTD. I liked it, decent reviews. http://www.totalwine.com/spirits/tequil ... /115775750

Just finished off a glass of the seasons first batch of Moose Milk... eggnog, rum, kahlua, vodka, vanilla ice cream and a touch of milk to thin it out... probably several variations of this treat but damn its tasty

Cheap costco whiskey. Need to dull the pain after that avoidable Seahawks loss. #fuckblairwalsh

The new Bud 1933 Prohibition special beer. Not bad, is real beer but is over priced.
