I just keep picturing myself walking around a garage sale with a bunch of old kitchen gadgets and seeing a yogurt maker like "wtf??? who uses a yogurt maker?"

What kind of tuna? I've got 35lbs of Albacore that I caught off Westport 2 weeks ago sitting in the freezer. Looking for ways to prepare it best.

I'll send a couple lbs home with you next week and you can prepare them however you like. I tend to cook meat before eating it.

Yellowfin. It's hard to mess it up. Just don't overlook it. I marinate it for a couple hours in Ponzu sauce. Then grill it

Corelle just will not die. I use it when BBQ'ing so if I drop them on the patio, usually they just bounce...why replace what works? You should see all the 60's and 70's RevereWare I still have. Tupperware? Oh yeah.

I'm with JB on this one. I had a fairly comprehensive set of Corelle dishes that I grew up with, and my Mom gave to me when I moved out. I think they were probably from the 70s, and were ugly as sin . . . way worse than JB's . . . and I fucking loved those dishes. I only ever saw two of them break:

- Once, a cow stepped on one of the plates and it shattered.
- Once, I was absent-mindedly getting ready to open a can of fruit and I accidentally put the can opener on the edge of the bowl instead, and squeezed . . . and it took a chip off the edge.

Recently my gf decided that they were too ugly to stay, and sold them at a yard sale and replaced them with "nicer" dishes.

I'd take the ugly ones back in a heartbeat. :wink05:

Wish I had been at that yard sale.

Why can't they make them like that now, but with a better appearance? (I don't care about the appearance, but obviously some do. So they might stick around a while longer with a better appearance.)

Same. I actually prefer old stuff, as long as it is not gaudy.
