I see this one at Target and Kohl's for $144. I cannot tell the difference between this one and the back on at Amazon. You guys see anything different?

Same thing, except the Target one is gray, plus it comes with the skewers and the skewer rack.

Unless you're hard-over on black, the Target one looks like a winner.

The air fryer is basically a small convection oven. The advantage is that for smaller meals it's quicker, faster and cheaper to use.

My advice for this and many things is buy a bigger one than you think you need. The wife just bought a 15.5 quart one, and it works really well. She tends to do batches of stuff, but I use it for single meals no problem.

The front door and sliding racks are nice, we are pretty happy with it.

All the sizes have excellent ratings on Amazon, none have less than a 4+ star rating with thousands of reviews.

Air fry.
Rotisserie
Griddle
4 racks positions
Integrated digital thermometer
50-425 degrees
100 presets and 50 memory.

Now it's bigger than most want, but they come in 3 quart up to the 15 quart size starting at 69 bucks.

Amazon, search "Nuwave Brio"

Late night trigger pull on this one. We will see how it goes.

Fryer arrived today. Ran it empty to burn off some smells. Then reheated some pork loin and potatoes in it.

I think tomorrow I am going to risk one of the rib eyes I cut from the Safeway roast sale, a russet potato and some broccolini to see how it does.

Got lazy for dinner the other day. Bought some pork tenderloin with zero desire to cook it.

A lil Dano’s chipotle. A lil wildflower honey. 10 min in the $62 fryer I ended up with dinner.

Not bad.

^ I made steak tips today, similar to that but with, well, beef.

I bought some "special trimmings" at Chef'Store to use for sausage, and I had some left over. So I cut some into bite-sized pieces, sprayed a little avocado oil on them, sprinkled some rub and tossed them around. (All in the air fryer drawer, no extra dishes.) Then 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes, and voila they were cooked beautifully, still medium-rare in the center. They were a little tough (hey, it's a tough cut of beef), but the flavor was great and they were easy to make.

Interesting. We’ve done chicken wings and pork tenderloins but I’d never considered using the air fryer as an impromptu bbq for small meat meals. Huh. Thanks fellas, I’m going to give this a try.

I'm starting to rethink of going with the small air fryer. I'm thinking, it's like buying a safe. Whatever I get is going to be too small.

I said that on here a week ago, Ricker…buy bigger than you think you’ll need…

I wanted the basket style air fryer. After seeing The Dual Blaze's size I wish it were bigger. Rick, if you don't want the basket style look at the one usrifle mentioned.

The quality is there though. The other air fryer we had was from before air fryers caught on. So, this is a welcome upgrade.

I will make a batch of fries and see if it feeds the family.

Other than tomorrow's steak dinner I plan on throwing a few things in there as a test and see how it comes out. Tonight's reheat was a winner.

I've had both kinds, and I don't plan to go back to the "oven style." Way too much cleanup, for one thing.

Hater....The Basket style is worse for cleanup in my opinion. Not to mention the size of items you want to put in it is limited by the basket size.

I'm really liking the one the wife bought. (see my post above) :thumbsup2:

Rick? You are on the right track. Buy bigger than you think you need. Look at the one's I mentioned, the prices are good, and they are highly rated.

Sorry, forgot to quote you on that. Sometimes it takes a while to sink in. :wink05:
