Mmm, that yoke! Just look at that sexy color! Delish!

The camera makes them look for yellow. They actually have more orange color.

I just thought I'd drop this here....
Of course its one guy's opinion....

Its pretty much been my opinion too --- is there a taste difference? Maybe, but can you actually say 'better'? As far as nutrition wise - it seems like its small and a wash across the board.

Ok, fer you city fellars.

BROWN eggs do not equal GOOD eggs.

Just because its brown does not mean its going to taste any different than white eggs.

Farm fresh eggs from clucks that are fed GOOD food, taste GREAT.

Farm fresh eggs taste better, have thicker shells, and much darker yellow or orange yolks.

+1

Cage free is also a gimmick. Most cage free chickens are in smaller than usual enclosures, indoors, all the time.

To be labeled “free range” they only have to be allowed to do so 6 hours per laying cycle.

Pasture-raised are like what the lady down the street does and her eggs are 3 bucks a dozen. You can pay $3.99 for “cage free” at the store or move away from there and have better eggs for a lot less.

Heck my normal egg lady has been giving me free eggs because she has so many and I’ve bought from her for over 10 years.

City folks crack me up.

Went to Safeway today... ($1.49/lb asparagus!)... walking through the refrigerated aisle to check on egg prices.

Customers are bitching.
Employees are bitching.

Apparently Safeway is losing a shit ton of money on eggs that aren't selling. They were trashing out of date ones and replacing them with in-date ones when I was there.... The rolling cart with the handles that are 6' tall was half full.. Figure minimum 4$/ dozen, had to be at least 100 dozen if not more...

Retailers aren't happy.
Consumers aren't happy.
The ones moaning and complaining about 'cage free eggs' were already buying the cage free eggs they wanted.

Fucking damnit.

If that's how it is at other grocery stores also, eventually that's going to lead to a shortage. Eventually grocery stores will stop buying so many eggs.

For some reason there will be a little bit of a run on eggs. Due to short on hand supplies they will run out. Then everybody will freak out. Then they will buy every egg they see. Then they'll be none of the store shelves. And then everybody will complain about it.

While people in the other 49 states half shells stocked with eggs and eat eggs freely.

LMAO

If you believe in the government wanting to control us then you know food is a great way to do so. I'm not subscribing to that just pointing it out.

Pretty happy to pick up 3 dozen yesterday for $2 per!!!!
REALLY happy to see that the 'large' eggs actually look LARGE. Noticed too that the shells have thickened up too --- last couple of dozen large eggs were pretty small with very fragile shells.
