Have you petitioned Walmart to put in charging stations where you live?

They are putting a supercharger in 100 yards from my office. It’ll be quite handy.

How does that work anyway... Do you pay for the Charging? CC or account or something?

Yes, typically a SC costs $0.28/kWh. So, on 100kwh battery, if you are at 0%, it’ll cost you $28 to fill up and that will get you about 400 miles.

Your CC is tied to you tesla account and it auto charges the card as you drive away.

But for me, my MX came with free supercharging for life. So it costs me.... ZERO.

Great to hang out and chat yesterday. Least you brought "a" Tesla, let you off with a warning and not charge the fuel surcharge on you... I know fam was eager to see an X too.

Pretty sure you have done research, but i recall at one point they tried to do away with the free charging. Caused a pretty big stir as it is obviously a big selling point when people bought their cars. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

I should get my MX back today, then it's FREE RIDES FOR EVERYBODY!

The free supercharging is no longer given on NEW cars. Mine has it free, on my X, but it is not transferrable to a new owner. Some are transferable, if you bought the car new with the FUSC option.

Towards the end of each quarter, Tesla tries to blow out their used inventory (They are not in the business of selling cars, ironically). So they add on incentives like a free upgrade to full self drive (now worth $7k), free supercharging, free premium connectivity etc. If you buy a used Tesla (from Tesla) under 50k miles, you get a 4yr/50k warranty. Anything over 50k miles and you get a 2yr warranty with varied miles based on the car, odometer etc.
