Drinking some Aberlour 12 year double cask scotch from Costco. The wife and I enjoy it quite a bit. For the price it has become our go to.

Costco does have some nice liquor prices. Member agreement limits profits to 15%.
Liquor profits in some stores can be crazy. Especially for people from out of town not used to the liter tax and 20.5% tax.

14% Belgian style quad bock. Kinda thick and strong tasting.

Well my daughter was born on the 10th so my Dad and I began by cracking open a bottle of Johnny Blue We ended up drinking that bottle fairly quickly but I decided to take some photos before tossing it. Decided it's the perfect backdrop for my Vostok Amphibia I recently finished modifying. Close up of the Amphibia Once my wife and baby were home, I invited over my closest friends to celebrate. Decided the to open another bottle from the collection and chose a Glenmorangie 18 "Extremely Rare" Surprisingly, we didn't kill the entire bottle. Decided to practice using my 70D and poured myself another dram. Ok. Not really a "dram" but I'm pretending to be fancy. It's a pretty good Whisky. I can't say it's my favorite as I prefer more smoke/peat but still not bad. Best part, I have another full bottle on standby if my palate ever changes.

Aberlour A'bunadh. Wife and I got it for our anniversary. Tasty, very rich. I like it both neat, and with a splash of water.

Feeling a bit under the weather. Decided to take my dad's approach to healing. Vodka. Fresh Ground Black Pepper. Stir in shot glass. Drink.

Costco's blended 16yo. Tasty, but I think I'll stick to the Aberlour 12.

On the other hand that Aberlour 12 year has become one of my favorites. Love the sweet finish from the Sherry cask aging. Good stuff!

If y'all are liking the Aberlour and Glenmorangie then the Glenrothes 16 is also well worth a try. It's another Speyside single malt with a similarly smooth profile. Tasty stuff.

No personal pictures but I picked up a bottle of Westland American Oak Single Malt. Made in Seattle http://www.westlanddistillery.com/whiskeyIt's pretty good. But the 96 proof comes across strong. One of the few I prefer adding a teaspoon of water or letting ice melt a bit to get the flavor out of it. Once this is gone I'll try the "Peated"

As someone who loves Scotch, I thought I'd like the Scotch ale more. Nope. Too.... caramely. Still trying to find the one Black Raven beer that I loved. Don't know what kind it was or the name.
