What was your A1C?

Way more important than lipids imho

I didn't get it tested. I don't have any reason to think that it's unhealthy (or has ever been), but I've never had it tested.

With that said though, I'm tentatively planning to get some blood tests done on my own through https://ownyourlabs.com/, just for the hell of it . . . if I follow through on that, I'll definitely include A1C.

100% sure you are fine. A before (keto) would have been nice, but no worries. A1c is what keto is all about. Getting the fatty liver cured and any insulin resistance along with it. MOST people don't know they have high blood glucose, and even the recommended values aren't great. High BG causes heart disease, high triglycerides, gout, elevated blood pressure, inflammation, just about all the stuff that kills us.

And yes processed carbs/processed foods are the cause.

Agreed. In hindsight, even though I don't think I have issues, I would have loved to have a before and after A1C.

Oh! Thanks for the reminder! Here's another test result that I'm REALLY happy about:

Old (which was retested to confirm that it was accurate):

New:

I don't fully understand this one, but I suspect that I had a bit of a fatty liver, and the keto/carnivore has taken care of that.

I started this ride at 247 pounds. I'm now at 182. I have two different belts that I wear, and as I've been cutting them shorter I've been keeping the pieces:

It feels damned good. Who wants to join me?

"That's too thin."
"Are you going to keep losing more weight?"

Are you getting the negative/jealous comments?

Fuck 'em! Good for you, Pablo! :bruce: :cheers2: :mulletslayer:

Main thing is I eat twice a day and everything between noon and 6pm. That’s it.

Weight down and blood glucose levels much controlled

I'm a believer.

Most days I eat just once a day, for dinner. Maybe with a little snack shortly afterwards. In the last two weeks I've done three longer fasts, one 36-hour and two 48-hour. All of this makes me feel GREAT.

The only nagging doubt I'm having is that my dinners sometimes seem larger than my body really likes. Granted, I could just eat less, but I don't want to be undereating either.

I’m never going to be seen as a skinny guy but feeling good and being lively when older are pretty nice goals

I have seen the light and I am on my path for health, weight loss and enlightenment.

All thanks to Madpick!

What a true guide and an example to follow. It’s a deep dive into cutting into all the hardline traditional health guidelines developed by the government agencies!

Not only am I discovering what is healthy for myself but I am more astonished to find all the lies told over decades and continues today. It’s deep and the vast majority are thinking they are doing good but the lies are so deep like the Woke movement that has swept and is sweeping our country and all over the world.

Once you open your eye! It’s like that movie where one puts on glasses to see the aliens that have taken over the world for who they truly are - aliens.

I will report back in 90 days…

Kim, are you following a particular plan? Or just adhering to and applying a set of principles associated with keto or carnivore?

(did I miss that further back in the thread?

It’s an elimination diet. Start stripping off carbs, sugar, plants, fruits. Basically left are meats.

Supplementation of minerals. A LMNT version but homemade to save on cast and also keep it simple. Salt, potassium and Magnesium is all that is in it.

Bought extra orders of Chuck and some others on sale. Once I got all that lined up. Carnivore diet.

Vegetarian is a HUGE myth.

Fat and oil fear is a huge lie.

The food pyramid is gigantic pile of garbage

The AHA is controlled by big pharma

The American Diabetes Association tells us to make grains the central part of our meals.

Most doctors, MD's, don't really know what is the best diet for you and I. The protocol is from the above falsehoods.

I mean I'm not a conspiracy guy. But, yeah.

Pablo, your dangerous attitude ties in nicely with the video below. This is two of the titans of the carnivore way of eating, Dr. Berry and Dr. Baker, discussing at a fairly high level what's going on. For those who aren't familiar with him, Dr. Baker lives somewhere in western WA, so he's a neighbor to most of us.

The video includes some topics that many of us enjoy discussing:
- Big Food
- Big Pharma
- Social media censorship
- Government censorship
- Government conspiracies
- Diabetes
- Gut issues - Crohns, IBS, ulcerative colitis
- RIBEYE

(I'm not labeling it a "must watch," but I enjoyed it.)
