Ok, we have had a rash of people claiming to have served, mostly people trying to qualify for the various blue label programs. This is not the place to pose, you will be embarrassed and asked to leave. 20 something marine poser from "E Squad, 3rd Marines" who was an "0382" and carried a "Vietnam era M16A2 in 7.62 in combat" We all got a good laugh and all of our blood pressure was up a little after a couple of requests for him to leave Tried to make the mobile link standard but it didn't quite work out, this is better. https://www.facebook.com/I5gunsandammo/ ... tif_t=likeClaimed to be in the Marines as an 0382, who carried an M16A2 that was Vietnam era and chambered in 7.62. Kyle asked who he was with... "Marines." No, who were you with, what unit? "3rd Marines." Ok, but who? "E squad, 3rd marines." What batallion and regiment? "I wasn't in a batallion." We all looked up 0382 after he left because we'd never heard of it... I was trying to find something historical... maybe an MOS that doesn't exist anymore. Couldn't find anything, nor anything about separate companies. Then he wanted to get in people's faces, called us posers. His wife (or him on her account) posted a review about the store saying how the police were being involved, he was confronted by 4 guys (only three dudes in the store and the sub 5' Jen), chased down the street by someone with a Taser, and how she was going to sue for violating his civil and constitutional rights. Kyle asked her why he couldn't say who he was with and that there was no such thing as an 0382. She called him a typical WA liberal hippy and that our poser store needs to close and we all need to go back to smoking pot. Some of Kyle's Marine buddies jumped in and it went wild for a bit until she removed her review.

I don't envy the job you have, sorting through BS like that.

One of the saddest days I had was when a former friend of mine(we were in Oki together) lied about being SF after we went different career paths. His story sounded fishy and I verified it. Nothing but a bunch of lies. He isn't hanging on the governments tit and it has nothing to do with his job now so I let it go. Still burns me to this day that he would embellish about his service.

Wow that cat isn't even trying. Fake MOS, rifle that wasn't produced until the early '80s, wrong chambering.
I did security work for 7+ years post-USMC. Depending on how mean I was, I could out a poser with one, two, or three questions. Three if I was really mean b/c I'd let them dig a deep hole.
Gun counter guys get enough stupid macho blustering...you have to get more on Facebook???
BTW I-5 thanks for being patient and understanding with me and my girls on Sunday while I was there to do a transfer.
