As all of you should know we are on the eve of I-594 taking effect meaning most private transfers of firearms now require a back ground check. Personally we deeply disagree with this new requirement and have been working to come up with the most efficient way to facilitate these person to person checks.

Our intent was to minimize and if possible eliminate fees for in store person to person transfers. Unfortunately given the labor involved we can not completely eliminate the fees we need to charge for these transfers but we will be able to offer zero-fee person to person transfers under specific circumstances on a specific day each month.

In Store Person to Person transfer of Long Guns, Others (receivers) and Handguns with the buyer having a WA CPL will cost $20.

In Store Person to Person transfer of Handguns with the buyer NOT having a CPL will cost $25.

Second 2nd Amendment Sundays: Between 9am and 1pm on the Second Sunday of each month, baring holidays where we are closed, in store person to person transfer fees are reduced by $20. That means in store person to person transfer fees for long guns, others and handguns with the buyer having a WA CPL are FREE and handgun transfers with the buyer NOT having a CPL cost $5 during this specific timeframe.

Attached is the process that we will be using for the in store person to person checks.

Sweet!

I went into a local shop today that will remain nameless and asked the guy at the counter what the charges will be. He told me they would wait or week or two to see what other places were charging. His exact words were, "why would I want to set the market with a low transfer fee, when I could be making so much more money". I planned on buying a few mags and some ammo, but I put my shit back and left.

PLEASE! Having a round pop out of the chamber when you clear a gun that was just pointed at you isn't really a fun experience.
